Job Purpose

To lead the establishment and day-to-day operations of Children International’s new service areas in Kabwe, ensuring effective programme delivery, community engagement, team leadership, safeguarding and achievement of targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead service area start-up, programme implementation and operational planning.
• Coordinate participant identification, verification and registration.
• Build strong relationships with government, communities, schools, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Monitor programme targets, budgets, data quality and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial, operational, safeguarding, health and safety policies.
• Recruit, supervise, coach and develop Field Officers and other team members.
• Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Promote continuous improvement, teamwork and community engagement.
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and effective use of resources.

Requirements

• University degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ supervisory experience leading a team.
• Strong project management, organisational and data management skills.
• Proven leadership, recruitment, coaching and performance management skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and planning skills.
• Fluency in English and at least one relevant local language.
• High integrity, empathy and commitment to children and youth development.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Kabwe and other areas of Zambia.
