Varun Beverages Zambia Limited is looking for an HR Assistant to join its Human Resources team in Lusaka.

Overall Responsibility

• Assist with day-to-day HR and administrative activities.
• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee documentation.
• Assist with leave, attendance and other employee-related records.
• Support the preparation of HR reports and correspondence.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR department.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and organisational skills.
• Registered member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management with a valid practising licence.
• FMCG background is an added advantage.

The successful candidate will report directly to Management and will support the Company’s transport, logistics, deliveries, collections, and day-to-day operational activities, while complying with Company policies, hygiene standards, and applicable Zambian road traffic and labour laws.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive Company vehicles in a safe, lawful, and responsible manner.
• Transport meat products, supplies, equipment, and documentation as assigned.
• Ensure timely deliveries and collections in line with operational requirements.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including oil, water, tyres, lights, brakes, and general condition.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
• Promptly report any mechanical faults, damage, accidents, or safety concerns.
• Assist with loading, unloading, stock-taking, and general operational or butchery support duties when required.
• Safeguard Company property, goods, documentation, and vehicles entrusted to him.
• Maintain professional conduct, honesty, punctuality, and reliability at all times.
• Comply with Company procedures, hygiene standards, safety requirements, and lawful instructions from Management.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following:

• Valid Zambian Driver’s Licence of the appropriate class.
• No history of serious traffic accidents or reckless driving.
• Police Clearance Certificate (mandatory).

• Physically fit and able to assist with operational duties when required.

• Honest, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.

STOCK CONTROLLER (WAREHOUSE)

National Breweries PLC invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Stock Controller (Warehouse).

Purpose of the Role

To ensure accurate inventory management and minimize operational losses by monitoring stock movements, analyzing and resolving variances, enforcing inventory control procedures, and improving supply chain processes. The role acts as a bridge between finance and operations, using data, audits, and system controls to identify inefficiencies, prevent losses such as breakages or expiries, and support cost control, ultimately helping the business operate more efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile physical and system inventory, including finished goods, empties, batches, and GIT.
• Conduct daily/monthly stock counts and investigate variances.
• Monitor stock movements, transfers, receipts, expiry dates, and FIFO compliance.
• Maintain strong warehouse controls and minimize losses, breakages, and expiries.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
• Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and stock records.
• Supervise warehouse loaders and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Work with Finance, Production, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve processes.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse/stock or inventory management.
• Manufacturing/FMCG or food and beverage experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP/ERP and accounting systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• High integrity, good communication, and ability to work independently and supervise staff.
