KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose, service and repair electrical/electronic faults in heavy-duty vehicles.
• Install, maintain and repair vehicle electrical systems and components.
• Test electrical systems and components after repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete job reports and perform other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Trade Certificate in Auto-Electrical or related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Must be a registered member of EIZ.

Budget Logistics is looking for a skilled and experienced Workshop Forman to join our team specializing in Volvo, Scania, and Zhohntong (Cummings) Trucks/Buses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise mechanics and workshop staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Plan and coordinate servicing, repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and ensure repairs are carried out correctly and on time
• Ensure proper use and care of workshop tools, equipment and spare parts
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing and maintenance schedules.
• Report major mechanical issues and maintenance requirements to management

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Diploma or relevant qualification in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in heavy duty vehicles workshop, with supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy-duty vehicles and vehicle maintenance
• Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet maintenance deadlines
• Valid driver’s license, preferably with experience driving heavy vehicles
