Job Summary
Reports to Strategic Information Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for the coordination of data quality control, assurance, conducting mentorships and training on all data collection, documentation and reporting activities in TB LON supported sites.
Main Duties
- Generates documentation of all Standard Operating Procedures and User Manuals for all data processes associated with the project
- Trains/Orients Health facility staff on documentation of registers/source documents
- Trains/Orients Health facility and data staff on the population of electronic tools
- Ensures that documentation of source documents is up to date and provide data quality reports to the provincial, district and health facility staff
- Monitors reporting rates and provides feedback to Health facility staff on reporting shortfalls in good time before the reporting cycle concludes
- Runs missing data reports and provide feedback to health facility staff on the data gaps and conduct the necessary follow up to improve data quality
- Coordinates IPs supporting TB electronic tools in the province
- Trains new staff on data collection and entry procedures and common errors/problems within the clinic and at other sites as requested
- Ensures all SOPs and user manual documentation is up to date
- Tracks all key data staff at the health facility with the province and ensure that the Contact directory is updated at least weekly to keep up to date with staff turnover
Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum Higher Diploma in Information Management/Computer Science, Monitoring and Evaluation or related field; a bachelor's degree is an added advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in data quality management and data collection
- Experience working in a health setting environment involving HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment
- Good management and co-ordination skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good team spirit
- Passionate about health-service delivery, and a desire to end the suffering of those affected by TB disease.
- Ability to meet deadlines, and pays attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English

Job Summary
Reports to Data Coordinator. Working with the District Health Information Officers, as well as District Focal Point Persons, this position involves the collection and entry of patient data into paper-based and electronic data collection tools.
Location: Chibombo, Chilanga, Chipata, Choma, Chongwe, Kabwe, Kafue, Kalumbila, Kaoma, Kasama, Katete, Kitwe, Livingstone, Ludanzi, Lusaka, Mansa, Mbala, Mongu, Mpika, Mufulira, Mukushi, Mumbwa, Ndola, Serenje - Chibombo District, Central Province.
Main Duties
- Enters all patient interaction data in an accurate and timely manner from all service points as guided by SOPs and associated relevant documentation
- Have a good understanding of all data being collected and associated performance indicators for each program area
- Capacity building of MoH staff in data entry, retrieval, analysis, visualization and reporting using DHIS2.
- Ensures accurate and complete data is submitted on time
- Responds to all routine and ad-hoc data queries and verifications promptly
- Provides data and M&E support to health facility staff and CIDRZ in-house clinical staff
- Provides weekly and monthly data collection reports, highlighting challenges and success
- Assists clinical staff in ensuring all registers are available and fully updated; participating in the compilation of NTLP Monthly reports at the facility and ensuring there is consistent reporting across all facility reports
- Works with District Health Information Officer/ Facility TB Focal Point persons, Facility In-Charges to initiate and actively participate in facility data review meetings
- Actively participate in the compilation of weekly situation room data as guided by the Provincial Data coordinator
- Attends all weekly meetings as requested by facility or CIDRZ staff
- Be collaborative with facility staff ensuring facility performance and targets are shared with facility in-charge and displayed at visible locations within facility
- Assist in the improvement of all data collection tools by providing feedback for improvements and new feature inclusions
- Handles patient data with utmost confidentiality and follow the set data safety procedures as specified
- Any other duties as may arise that are requested by the supervisors.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in Computer Studies, M&E, Social Sciences or related fields
- 1 Year data entry experience
- Experience in data quality management
- Good understanding of SmartCare, Yathu, FIMS and DHIS2 will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of SmartCare will be an added advantage
