ICT Manager (x1)
Location: Monze Campus
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) O'levels.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- A relevant Master's degree will be an added advantage.
- Valid ICTAZ Licence.
- Window Server Certification.
- Cisco Network Association (CCNA) Certification.
- Professional ICT certifications.
- At least 5 years' experience in a supervisory or ICT management role, preferably with experience in a university or higher education institution.
Job Purpose
To provide strategic and operational leadership for the University's information and communication technology services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, reliability and continuous improvement of ICT infrastructure, systems and services that support teaching, learning, research, administration and institutional operations. He/she shall maintain a high level of professionalism in executing his/her duties.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the University's ICT strategy, policies, standards and operational plan.
- Manage and maintain ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi, data centres, telecommunications and end-user computing.
- Oversee the administration and support of enterprise applications, student information systems, learning management systems, email and other institutional platforms.
- Ensure effective ICT service delivery and timely resolution of user support issues.
- Implement and maintain appropriate cybersecurity, data protection, backup and disaster-recovery measures.
- Lead ICT projects, system implementations, upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.
- Manage ICT budgets, procurement, contracts, licences and vendor relationships.
- Establish and monitor ICT performance indicators and service-level agreements.
- Supervise, mentor and develop ICT staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ICT, cybersecurity, data protection and regulatory requirements.
- Advise University management on emerging technologies and opportunities for digital innovation.
- Prepare ICT reports, budgets, policies and recommendations for senior management.
- Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by management.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrable experience in network and systems administration, cybersecurity, ICT infrastructure and enterprise applications.
- Experience managing ICT projects, budgets and third-party service providers.
- Strong knowledge of ICT governance, information security, data protection and business continuity.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Sunplus Accounting Software.
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.

Lecturer – Nursing (x1)

Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) O’levels.
- Minimum of Master’s Degree in Nursing / Health Sciences.
- BSc in Nursing.
- PhD is an added advantage.
- Midwifery or Theater Certifications are added advantages.
- Valid practicing license from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ).
- Certified and ZAQA-verified academic and professional qualifications.
- At least three (03) years of demonstrated teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
Job Purpose
To make a significant contribution to all activities of the organizational unit or inter-disciplinary area and play a significant role within his/her profession or discipline. Assist the Department Chairperson in the interpretation, application and achievement of the objectives, policies and regulations of the department. He/she will be responsible for all teaching and non-teaching duties assigned to him/her by the supervisor. He/she shall maintain a high level of professionalism in executing his/her teaching duties.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for classroom teaching and be directly in charge of the educational processes in his or her courses.
- Teach at least one course at post graduate level in his/her field of study if in possession of a PhD.
- Supervision of research activities in the program.
- Teach competently such courses as may be assigned by the chairperson.
- Lead students in meaningful learning experiences.
- Prepare and supervise/administer examinations.
- Serve as a student advisor as assigned by the Chairperson or Dean of the school.
- Serve as a programme coordinator as assigned by the Chairperson or Dean of the school.
- Serve on committees as may be assigned by management.
- Serve as faculty advisor to a student organization when assigned by the administration.
- Manage all the classroom guest speakers, films, videos and other programmes, ensuring they meet the ethical and spiritual standards of the university.
- Attend faculty meetings, departmental meetings, general assemblies, graduation exercises, and other designated university functions regularly.
- Carry out any activity assigned by supervisors.

MBChB Program Coordinator (1)

- A postgraduate/specialist qualification especially in basic sciences.

Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership, teaching and effectively run the MBChB Program by planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring to facilitate continuous improvement of the MBChB Program and ensuring that teaching, assessment, and clinical training comply with university and professional/regulatory requirements.
Major Responsibilities
- Coordinate the overall delivery of the MBChB programme.
- Coordinate curriculum implementation, review and continuous improvement.
- Ensure alignment of the curriculum with applicable medical education and professional standards.
- Coordinate teaching activities across departments, phases and clinical disciplines.
- Coordinate clinical rotations and other experiential learning activities.
- Oversee undergraduate assessments, examinations and progression processes.
- Chair or provide secretariat support to the MBChB Programme Committee.
- Coordinate communication between departments, lecturers, clinical sites and students.
- Monitor student academic progress and address academic programme-related concerns.
- Coordinate student feedback and implement appropriate programme improvements.
- Work with module/phase coordinators to ensure consistency in teaching and assessment.
