We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Transport Manager to join our team in Zambia.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day transport and fleet operations
• Plan and coordinate truck movements, routes, loading and offloading
• Monitor fleet utilization, turnaround time and vehicle availability
• Coordinate with drivers, customers, loading points, border agencies and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with transport, road safety and regulatory requirements
• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance, breakdowns and operating costs
• Track trucks and ensure timely delivery of cargo
• Prepare daily/weekly transport performance reports
• Manage and improve driver performance and operational efficiency
• Control transport costs and support achievement of operational KPIs

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in transport/fleet management, preferably in road freight or logistics
• Strong knowledge of Zambian transport operations and routes
• Experience managing trucks and drivers
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced operation
• Strong knowledge of fleet tracking and transport management systems will be an added advantage
