Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking, and distributing medications.
• Safeguarding the stock and equipment in the department.
• Maintaining records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians.
• Sorting, stocking and labelling medications.
• Responding to the requests of patients and Healthcare providers, answering their questions, and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist.
• Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces.
• Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
• Undertaking administrative tasks such as record-keeping as assigned by a Medical Officer In-Charge from time to time.

Professional and Academic Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy.
• Full registration licence.
• Valid practising licence.
• Full Grade XII school certificate or equivalent.
• At least one (1) year post-qualification work experience.
• Computer literate.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Opportunity – Medical Billing Officer

Healthlane Medical Centre is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join its healthcare team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing, submission, monitoring and reconciliation of NHIMA and private medical insurance claims, while ensuring compliance with applicable billing procedures, tariffs and benefit packages.

Key Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience in medical billing, insurance claims or a similar healthcare role.
• Knowledge of NHIMA and private medical insurance processes and tariffs.
• Computer literate, including MS Office and billing/claims systems.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.
• A Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing will be an added advantage.
