Capital FM is looking for a male News Reporter to join our newsroom team in Lusaka.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, gather and report accurate and timely news.
• Cover breaking news, events and assignments.
• Conduct interviews and develop compelling news stories.
• Deliver confident and professional live reports.
• Write, edit and produce content for radio and digital platforms.
• Verify information and maintain high journalistic and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in journalism or broadcast news.
• Excellent writing, editing and interviewing skills.
• Strong live reporting and on-air communication skills.
• Good knowledge of current affairs and local issues.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work flexible newsroom shifts.
• Good command of English; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
• Must be proactive, professional and able to work independently.
