Goldenlay Agri Ltd is the largest producer, supplier and distributor of table eggs across Zambia, with a brand familiar to retailers and consumers alike.

Goldenlay is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Financial Accountant based in Luanshya on the Copperbelt.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and perform bank reconciliations.
• Perform bank revaluations for foreign currency denominated bank accounts.
• Process supplier invoices, perform supplier reconciliations and prepare supplier payments.
• Process inter-company transactions and reconcile intercompany loan accounts.
• Perform stock counts and stock reconciliations.
• Perform General Ledger control account reconciliations.
• Process and prepare journals relating to depreciation, loan revaluations, interest, salaries and other provisions.
• Process petty cash.
• Process payroll.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Handle year-end audit queries from auditors.
• Handle all tax return submissions and queries.
• Perform any other ad hoc tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• Computer literate with practical knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• High degree of accuracy.
• Good mathematical skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Full ZICA, ACCA or Degree in Accountancy.
• At least 3 years' work experience as a Financial Accountant in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
• Proficient in Sage Accounting and Dove Payroll Software.
