Huachen International Supply Chain Limited seeks to employ a Workshop Maintenance Manager in the Maintenance Department to join the team.

Job Purpose

Plan work assignments, oversee maintenance activities for heavy-duty and light vehicles and career development for team members; exercise supervision, guidance and performance management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervise and oversee troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures on heavy-duty and light trucks (FAW/SHACMAN/HOWO).
2. Provide hands-on supervision of all workshop activities, including repair works and technical activities.
3. Maintain workshop safety, including equipment safety and operational safety; anticipate risks and guide staff to follow standard operating procedures to reduce safety risks.
4. Maintain accurate usage records of spare parts to forecast needs and stock replenishment.
5. Maintain quality control and supervise repair quality, provide technical guidance and optimise processes.
6. Be responsible for the maintenance workshop environment, arrange working hours, ensure employee protection and well-being, keep tools and spare parts properly organised, and maintain workshop cleanliness.
7. Conduct final checkups and approve all repair work, and test vehicles before releasing them.
8. Organise and conduct specialised technical training to improve employees' skills.
9. Complete any other tasks assigned by the company supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in Automotive Maintenance, Auto Engineering or a related field.
2. Full Grade 12 certificate.
3. At least eight (8) years of relevant work experience, including at least three (3) years of workshop management experience and strong service awareness.
4. Proficiency in heavy-duty truck engines and chassis, including major and medium overhauls and complex fault diagnosis.

Other Requirements

1. Must reside in Ndola, Kitwe or the surrounding area.
2. Good communication skills and coordination/management abilities.
