Suncrest Engineering Limited, a company contracted by Maamba Energy Limited (MEL) in Maamba to undertake coal mining and other mining-related works, is inviting applications from suitably qualified people to fill the following vacancies.

1. Mine Captain

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Advanced Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years related experience
• Traceable reference
• Blasting licence
• First Aid certificate
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills
• Fully paid-up member of EIZ

2. Shift Bosses

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Mining Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years related experience
• Traceable reference
• Blasting licence
• First Aid certificate
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills
• Fully paid-up member of EIZ

3. Safety Officers

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management
• Minimum of 3 years related experience
• Traceable reference
• First Aid certificate

4. Stores Officers

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Stores Management or Purchasing and Supply
• Minimum of 3 years related experience
• Traceable reference
• ZIPS membership with a valid practicing certificate

5. Person in Charge

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Certificate or Diploma in Mining Engineering
• Traceable reference
• Blasting licence
• First Aid certificate
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills

6. Workshop Forman

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Advanced Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Working experience of not less than 7 years
• Traceable reference
• Fully paid-up member of EIZ

7. Mechanic

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Auto Mechanics
• Working experience of not less than 5 years
• Traceable reference
• Fully paid-up member of EIZ

8. Assistant Mechanic

• Craft 12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Auto Mechanics
• Working experience of not less than 3 years
• Traceable reference
• Fully paid-up member of EIZ

9. Welders

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Certificate in Metal Fabrication from a well-recognized institution
• Working experience of not less than 2 years
• Traceable reference

10. Excavator Operators

• Must know how to read and write
• Practical work experience in the mine for not less than 5 years
• Traceable reference

11. Grader Operators

• Must know how to read and write
• Practical work experience in the mine for not less than 5 years
• Traceable reference

12. Dozer Operators

• Must know how to read and write
• Practical working experience in the mine for not less than 5 years
• Traceable reference

13. Front-End Loader

• Must know how to read and write
• Practical work experience in the mine for not less than 5 years
• Traceable reference

14. JCB/TLB Operators

• Must know how to read and write
• Practical working experience in the mine for not less than 5 years
• Traceable reference

15. Tipper Drivers

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Valid driver's licence Class C or CE
• 5 years driving experience in a mine area
• Traceable reference

16. Water Bowser Drivers

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Valid driver's licence Class C or CE
• 5 years driving experience in a mine area
• Traceable reference
