About the Opportunity
Macho Industries Limited is looking for a dedicated, responsible, and safety-conscious individual to join the team as a Safety Officer.
The company is seeking an individual who is passionate about road safety, passenger safety, and workplace safety, and who can help maintain the highest safety standards across its operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and promote road safety standards across all operations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of buses and operational areas.
- Identify potential safety risks and recommend corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety briefings and awareness sessions for drivers and staff.
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports.
- Work closely with drivers, hosts, and management to improve safety standards.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and responsibility throughout the company.
Safety Officer Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Qualification/knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety and Logistics.
- Minimum at least 3 years' experience.
- Good knowledge of Zambian traffic laws and RTSA regulations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Must have strong knowledge of local and long-distance routes.
