Vacancy Announcement
Lumezi FM Radio 98.1 is looking for a talented and dedicated Tumbuka News Caster to join the team. The successful candidate should be a fluent speaker, reader and writer of Tumbuka and able to translate news and content from English into Tumbuka.
Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for reading, presenting and delivering accurate and engaging news bulletins in Tumbuka, as well as translating news scripts and other content from English into clear, broadcast-ready Tumbuka for listeners across Lumezi, Lundazi and the surrounding communities.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Fluent speaker, reader and writer of Tumbuka (NO CHI BWI-BWI).
- Ability to translate content from English into Tumbuka.
- Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate.
- Must be 20 years of age and above.
- Not given to alcohol and of sound moral character.
- Non-partisan (no political affiliation).
- No criminal record.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet broadcast deadlines.
- Must own a smartphone.
- Computer literate.
- Must be resident within Lumezi.
