JOB OPPORTUNITIES – COMMUNITY-BASED INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
St Francis Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian candidates for the following positions under its Physical Rehabilitation and Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) Project:
1. COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER – 1 Position
The Community Liaison Officer will link the project with communities, traditional leaders, local authorities, health facilities and community structures. Responsible for community mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, disability inclusion, beneficiary identification, grievance management and project reporting.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 School Certificate (Five O Level)
- Degree in Physiotherapy, Social Work, Special Education or a related field
- Current HPCZ practicing license or applicable professional affiliation
- Experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations and community mobilisation
- Experience working with traditional leaders, local authorities, health facilities and community structures
- Good facilitation, report-writing and MS Office skills
- Ability to work in rural/field settings and travel frequently
- Knowledge of local languages will be an added advantage
2. REHABILITATION FACILITATORS – 5 Positions
Rehabilitation Facilitators will provide rehabilitation support to patients and persons with disabilities through structured rehabilitation programmes, community-based assessments, mentorship of CHWs/CWACs, disability inclusion data collection and referral support.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 School Certificate (Five O Level)
- Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
- Current HPCZ practicing license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate
- Ability and willingness to work in remote communities
- Knowledge of disability rights and local languages is an added advantage
- Membership of the Zambia Society of Physiotherapy will be an added advantage
3. DRIVER – 1 Position
The Driver will provide safe and reliable transportation for project staff, patients, beneficiaries, equipment and materials, while supporting outreach and field activities and ensuring proper vehicle maintenance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Valid Zambian driver's license, Class C/PSV or higher
- At least 3 years' proven driving experience, preferably with an NGO, government institution or development project
- Clean driving record
- Basic vehicle mechanical knowledge
- Experience driving in rural/remote areas
- Defensive driving certification is an added advantage
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours
