TW Stene is seeking a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Civils Storeman to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock and equipment within the civil store while ensuring that all transactions, records and supporting documentation are accurate and up to date.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving, issuing and storing stock according to operational requirements.
- Maintaining accurate stock records throughout the civil store.
- Receiving and verifying incoming stock and deliveries.
- Capturing received goods accurately on the system.
- Monitoring deliveries and communicating delays to the relevant employees.
- Conducting regular stock counts and assisting with stocktaking.
- Booking out and recording all stock, tools and equipment issued from the store.
- Completing allocated administrative duties.
- Ensuring that all documentation and filing remain accurate and up to date.
- Managing tasks according to required deadlines.
- Monitoring small plant equipment used for civil works.
- Ensuring that site equipment and plant remain in safe working order.
- Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to the relevant manager.
- Working overtime when operationally required.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position.
- Previous data-capturing and stocktaking experience.
- Experience working with small plant equipment.
- Knowledge of civil works and site operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Own reliable transport.
- Ability to perform accurately under pressure.
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English.
