Background

The Catholic Diocese of Solwezi is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Program Manager to be stationed at Radio Kabangabanga within Solwezi District.

Roles and Responsibilities

• As Programs Manager you shall work under the supervision of the Radio Station Manager.
• Maintain a contact database for the Station.
• Planning and coordinating various aspects of radio production, such as script selection, coordinating writing, directing and editing, soliciting sponsorship for programmes and adverts.
• Coordinating the activities of writers, news gatherers, editors and other personnel through the production processes.
• Monitor post production processes in order to ensure accurate completion of all details.
• Be able to meet the target as directed by the supervisor.
• Promote good relationships with clients.
• Do any other work as might be directed by your supervisors.

Key Working Relationships

Internal:

• The Programs Manager will report to the Station Manager.

Desired Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Programmer, or similar role.
• Diploma in Journalism or any related field.
• Strong knowledge of journalism and programming.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Creativity and passion for marketing and innovation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work in the evening, weekends, and holidays as required.
