Barloworld Equipment Zambia Limited, the appointed Caterpillar dealer in the region, is inviting applications for the following positions.
1. Heavy Equipment Technicians / Diesel Mechanic Specialists
Locations: Kitwe, Solwezi, Kalumbila & Lumwana
Job Purpose
Perform planned and breakdown repairs, services, and maintenance on earthmoving equipment and components to supplier standards.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 with not less than 5 credits
- Trade Certificate/Diploma: Heavy Equipment Repair, Auto Electrician, or Diesel Mechanic
- Experience: Not less than 5 years in mining, construction, or energy industries
- Registration: Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) or equivalent
- License: Valid driver's license
- Other: Own accommodation in area of operation
- Advantage: CAT machines exposure & A Milwright/Dual qualification
Key Duties
- Diagnose and repair earthmoving equipment on customer sites or at BWE
- Compile customer machine analysis reports - MIRs & TARs
- Maintain safe work practices and control contamination
- Handle own admin: labor booking, service reports, part returns
- Represent BWE professionally
Competencies Needed
Troubleshooting, technical report writing, SIS/STW/ET computer literacy, problem-solving, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

2. Senior Human Capital Practitioner
Location: Kitwe
Job Purpose
To manage the employee lifecycle, support organizational goals, and ensure a productive, compliant, and positive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- HR operations: payroll input, recruitment, reconciliation, compliance
- Policy interpretation, review and coaching line managers
- Employee Relations, Organizational design standards
- Maintain accurate employee data & government reporting
- Statutory reporting: overtime exemption, etc.
- Maintain working relationships with line managers + ensure HR Governance
Minimum Qualifications
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
- Masters in HR = added advantage
- 5+ years’ experience in HR covering payroll, recruitment, compliance
- Experience in structured HR framework, preferably public/regulatory
- Union Management experience = added advantage
- Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management = added advantage
