Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Translating spoken communication between Chinese and English accurately and professionally.
- Translating documents, reports, notices, instructions, letters and other company materials from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Providing interpretation during meetings, training sessions and site activities.
- Assisting Chinese management and Zambian employees to communicate effectively.
- Supporting the Human Resources Department with translation of HR-related documents and employee communications.
- Translating safety instructions and ensuring employees understand important workplace safety information.
- Assisting with communication between supervisors, employees, contractors and management.
- Maintaining confidentiality of company and employee information.
- Providing interpretation during disciplinary meetings, where required.
- Performing any other translation and interpretation duties assigned by Management.
