Project Accountant

Job Purpose

DAPP Zambia is seeking a Project Accountant to manage financial activities across multiple projects at its Ndola Headquarters, reporting to the Project Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Post monthly transactions on time and maintain accurate financial records.
•  Maintain custody of payment vouchers.
• Assist with project budgets and monitor/document significant variations.
• Prepare schedules for statutory obligations.
• Verify financial and contractual details of invoices and payments.
•  Assist with payroll and staff payment records.
•  Prepare audit documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Prepare timely bank reconciliations.
• Maintain updated project asset registers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with at least 3 years’ experience; OR Diploma in Accountancy/equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience.
• Paid-up member of ZICA.
• Intermediate or advanced user of Sage 300 ERP or other approved accounting software.
• Strong financial record-keeping and analytical skills.
