PSV DRIVER – 7.5-TONNE LIGHT TRUCK

📍 LUSAKA, ZAMBIA • FULL-TIME

Nomalanga Enterprise Limited is looking for a mature, responsible and experienced Driver to operate its 7.5-tonne light truck.

The successful candidate will be based in Lusaka and will be required to undertake frequent trips within Lusaka and to various parts of Zambia.

The successful candidate should be able to safely manage and operate the company's 7.5-tonne truck while representing Nomalanga Enterprise professionally across Zambia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate and take responsibility for the company's 7.5-tonne light truck.
• Transport goods and other authorised items within Lusaka and across Zambia.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report mechanical faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Record trips, mileage, fuel consumption and other relevant vehicle information accurately.
• Ensure goods are properly loaded, secured, transported and delivered safely.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned truck.
• Comply with all road traffic regulations and company safety procedures.
• Work professionally with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Identify and communicate potential business and transport opportunities that may benefit the company.
• Be prepared for frequent travel and occasional assignments outside Lusaka.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Hold a valid PSV driving licence.
• Have a good and verifiable driving record.
• Proven experience driving commercial vehicles and light trucks, preferably in the 7.5-tonne category.
• Good knowledge and practical experience with European trucks.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and ability to identify common mechanical problems.
• Mature, disciplined, responsible, honest and trustworthy.
• Good knowledge of roads within Lusaka and major routes across Zambia.
• Willing and able to travel frequently across Zambia.
• Proactive and business-minded, including the ability to identify potential business opportunities.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

ADDED ADVANTAGES

• Experience with European commercial truck brands such as DAF, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Scania or Iveco will be an added advantage.
• Experience in logistics, distribution, courier services or long-distance transportation will also be an added advantage.
