Position: Loan Officer

Number of Positions: 6 as stated in the advert

Duty Stations: Mumbwa, Kaoma and Lundazi

Reports To: Branch Manager

JOB OVERVIEW

The Loan Officer is responsible for receiving loan applications, assessing business plans and conducting follow-up visits with clients.

The role also requires preparation of weekly work plans and undertaking other duties assigned by the supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to ride or learn how to ride a motorbike is a must.
• Full Grade 12 Certificate with credits in English and Mathematics.
• Tertiary education in Business Studies or Agriculture-related courses.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Trustworthy, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Very high reliability, integrity and efficient working style.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office package tools.
• Good spoken English and interpersonal skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and manage your own loan portfolio.
• Market and sell company products and services to customers.
• Assess loans based on UMINO guidelines.
• Present supportable business ideas with proper and complete loan proposals to the Branch Manager.
• Monitor clients by conducting regular on-site visits according to established guidelines.
• Coach loan recipients and evaluate business activity during on-site visits.
• Write weekly reports.
• Keep the Branch Manager updated regarding loan portfolio performance so potential problems can be addressed proactively.
• Report to the Branch Manager on a day-to-day basis.
