DENTAL THERAPIST – FULL-TIME

We are looking for a patient-centered and detail-oriented Dental Therapist with hands-on practical experience delivering comprehensive preventive, restorative, and basic surgical dental care.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical & Restorative Procedures:

Perform comprehensive intraoral examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Execute direct restorative procedures using composite resins and glass ionomer cements (GIC).

Conduct scaling, root planing, and routine periodontal therapy.

Manage simple exodontia (extractions) and emergency pain management.

Preventive Dentistry & Patient Education:

Apply pit and fissure sealants and topical fluoride therapy.

Provide personalized oral hygiene counselling, plaque control, and dietary advice.

Deliver pediatric dental care using patient management techniques to ease dental anxiety

Infection Control & Practice Administration:

Maintain strict adherence to sterilization protocols, cross-infection control, and hygiene standards.

Accurately maintain digital and physical patient records, histories, and charting.

Foster collaborative clinical workflows with senior dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Diploma or Degree in Dental Therapy.

Full registration and valid Practising Licence with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).

At least 2 years of hands-on clinical experience in a dental setting.

Strong communication skills, a patient-first attitude, and a proven track record of reducing patient anxiety.

Grade 12 Certificate.
