SAFETY OFFICER

CONTRACT

Role Overview

The Safety Officer will be responsible for overseeing, implementing, and enforcing our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies across the manufacturing plant to ensure zero-harm operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor OHS policies, protocols, and safety guidelines on the production floor.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Ensure full compliance with Zambian labour laws and statutory safety regulations.
• Facilitate regular safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for staff.
• Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or mining.
• In-depth knowledge of Zambian OHS legislation and guidelines.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Valid first aid and fire safety certification is an added advantage
