Sinomine Kitumba Minerals Company Limited operates a fully integrated mining and copper processing project, encompassing every stage from extraction to final production. Our operations are designed to maximize efficiency, sustainability, and economic value.
We are located in Mumbwa District of Central Province. The mine had an initial investment of US$600 million and is expected to create around 3000 direct employment opportunities. Additionally, the mine will establish a 100-megawatt solar power plant.
Currently, several job openings need to be filled immediately.

A graduate geologist in an open-pit mine helps guide daily extraction. They track ore quality, map rock walls, and supervise drilling. Core tasks include managing grade control, collecting rock samples, ensuring safety compliance, and working closely with mining engineers and washing valuable ore from waste rock.
Daily Field Work: Pit mapping, Walk the active bench faces to map rock types, structures, and faults. Drill supervision. Oversee grade control or blast-hole drilling programs. Sampling: Collect, log, and tag drill cuttings or core samples for lab testing. Ore marking: Paint and mark ore and waste boundaries on the pit floor for heavy equipment operators |

Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or Earth Sciences. Computer Literacy 2. Familiarity with MS Office and introductory exposure to mining software like Datamine, Surpac, or Leapfrog Licensing 3. A valid manual driver’s license (often required for site travel) 4. Safety & Compliance: Willingness to complete site inductions, first-aid training, and adhere to strict safety policies. Preferred Skills: 1. Prior internship or vacation work in an operational open-pit environment 2. Strong practical background in structural geology and mineral identification 3. Good interpersonal and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams |
