InterContinental Lusaka is seeking a skilled and meticulous HVAC Technician to join its dedicated team in Lusaka, Zambia.
This full-time opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about maintaining optimal climate control systems to ensure guest comfort and safety.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
As an HVAC Technician at InterContinental Lusaka, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems throughout the hotel.
The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for guests while ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently and according to industry standards.
🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain and repair HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipment.
- Balance air and water treatment systems according to HVAC standards and protocols.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and work plans accurately.
- Collaborate with the hotel team to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for guests.
- Work flexible hours as required to meet operational needs.
🎓 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should have:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate is mandatory.
- A Diploma in HVAC and Refrigeration is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of three years’ hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician with extensive knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating and boiler systems.
- Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with industry protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues efficiently.
