ABOUT THE ROLE

Alinea Network is seeking a Communications Intern who will support strategic communications across both internal and external communication activities.

The role places a strong priority on content creation and storytelling, helping turn Alinea's programmes, partner work and impact into compelling narratives for donor and partner audiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree obtained within the last two years in Communications, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design or a related field.
• Recent graduates with internship, volunteer, freelance, university project or portfolio experience are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience in the conservation, environment or development sectors is an advantage but not required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Photography and videography skills.
• Familiarity with social media management and digital communication tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a genuine interest in storytelling.
• Curiosity and empathy, with the ability to draw out and shape compelling stories from people and source material.
• Creativity and strong attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professionalism, curiosity and willingness to learn.
