Wideway International based in Kitwe, Kamfinsa area along the Kitwe-Ndola dual-carriage way seeks the services of a qualified and experienced Auto Electrician to join the maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in both heavy-duty as well as light-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair vehicle electrical systems including wiring, lighting, ignition, and battery systems
  • Diagnose faults using specialized diagnostic tools and software
  • Maintain and service alternators, starters, sensors, and electronic control units (ECUs)
  • Ensure compliance with Zambian roadworthiness and safety regulations
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and adhere to workshop safety protocols

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years proven hands-on experience in automotive electrical systems
  • Qualification: Craft or Advanced Craft Certificate in Automotive Mechanics, Automtive Electrical or related field
  • Drivers Licence: Valid Driver’s Licence.
  • Professional Affiliation: Affiliation to the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is desired.
  • Work Ethic: Teamwork, strong problem-solving skills, strict adherence to workshop safety and safety practices.
