A continent energized needs the contracts that make clean power bankable. At Africa GreenCo, our lawyers sit at the heart of every deal, turning renewable energy projects into signed, financed, deliverable infrastructure.
We're looking for a Transaction Lawyer to join our in-house transactions team, working alongside our Chief Commercial Officer and two other Transaction Lawyers. You'll draft and negotiate the documents that move projects from idea to close: facility and security agreements, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Power Supply Agreements (PSAs), EPC contracts, O&M agreements, joint ventures and more, while supporting our business development and regulatory teams across our markets.
What you'll bring:
- Qualified lawyer in South Africa, Zimbabwe or Zambia
- Project finance experience from a top-tier law firm
- Power sector exposure, ideally with PPAs and/or PSAs
- A solid grasp of lender and bankability requirements
- Commercial awareness, sharp attention to detail, and the drive of a self-starter
Employment: Full-time
Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer
Location: Harare, Johannesburg or Lusaka
Travel: As a regional business, we'll expect you to travel across our markets.
